Google Trends 4th Most Search is a Plane!

Take a look at the #4 searched term …is this some kind of warning? Do you think people actually searching for that, or is google trying to play a trick on us?

Either way, I thought it was pretty bizarre.

“The Hot Trends list is automatically generated by machines and algorithms that detect hot or breaking queries. In this case, it appears that the html code for this query was posted on a popular internet bulletin board, which led to quite a few people searching to find out more about this symbol. With Google, Incoming links are a big part of the algorithm that ranks your site. One way of getting quality back-links, is the famous directory submitting. There are a few ways to go about this, but you want to do it the most efficient, fastest, with minimal time wasted.

Finding the Directories

There are plenty of sources of directories of course, but you want the ones that are going to add your link the fastest, and ones that have at least a 1 page rank. Install the Google toolbar, and set it to display page rank. Some sites have pending links of 1,000+ , we’ll skip those.

Some other sources besides Google:

Digital point has a great category for directories and they are on their daily approving links. They will also welcome any site as long as it’s in their guidelines, with a fast approval.

Also sharing directory lists with others can prove to be quite helpful, as long as they are high ranking and active.

Submitting

Name: -Is not displayed to the public and/or is not indexed therefore it is not so vital.
URL: – This is your link-period. Make sure that this is all correct or you will have to spend extra time correcting the problem, which will set you back. As always directory links are do follow.

Anchor Text: This is very important part. There are two ways to accomplish this. One, is to submit them all with the same anchor text, ie your keyword. Or the second, which is doing it for multiple variations of the keywords.

Description: Take the time out and write a drafts, this way for each one you have something different to avoid duplicate content. Don’t even use text from your site, make it completely unique.

To find a niche is one of the most important part of your road to online success. This will happen more than one time, but this may be the first time for you. Finding a niche for you to start out with can sometimes be time consuming, or it can just come to you.

One way to find a niche, is to find out what people are searching for. Everyone uses google trends for the hottest keywords, and had a history as well, but do some searching, and I’ll guarantee you there’s better ones out there.

Don’t just limit yourself to online, look around you in your everyday life. There’s tons of niches waiting right in front of you, ask around, what are people buying up?

One thing you can start out off with, is pick something you are passionate about, this way you can write some of your own content. Once you have your niche you are ready for some keyword analysis, and find out if you selected a well searched niche, with not an extraordinary amount of competition. You can use google keyword tool, to see the Search Numbers, and use Google search, to find your competition. Use exact phrase, so if your keyword was, skiing in aspen, you would want to find the exact phrase hits, so use “”’s. Look at those two numbers, and if they are low , you may have a winner.
