Kevin Rose – Digging for more ad revenue with Diggable ads

diggDigg is by far the most popular social news site. It generates thousands of new articles each day, and and a ridiculous amount of traffic, but how do you convert that traffic into sales?   Digg users never click adds, its a well known fact. It looks like Digg is up to something. Kevin announced a new potential revenue stream labeled “Diggable ads”. How would this type of advertising work? The official word isn’t out yet, however, it most likely will be along the same lines as Facebook ads, and the new Myspace ads. If this is true, us Affiliate Marketers have another stomping ground. Lets hope the they don’t go the same rout as Facebook and enforce strict guide lines. This could be a good opportunity for Digg, however, as I was mentioning before, currently, Digg users are not clicking ads. Lets hope Kevin Rose has something good planned for us, so we can all prosper.

Would you try out Digg ads? I think my answer on this would be, any other stream to get out our affiliate campaigns the better, but will they convert?

This could be good. It’s a shame digg hasn’t found a way to better monetize it’s traffic.
