Adding You Link to The Wikipedia User Page

Wikipedia allows you to create your own user page.  What does this mean?  Free links of course. Granted, Wikipidia does not pass any PR since all of there links have the mighty nofollow, however, if you get creative with it, you can get a quality backlink from one of the biggest sites on the net.  You can try and stick your link in other places on wiki, and it works, but watch out for the moderators, the’re sure to ban you as soon as they feel your spamming, and most likely , if you add your link to a popular page, it will get removed in seconds…dam wiki!!

To Abdul Wahab of krazyidea above:
I hate people like you who have no value for other peoples time and blatantly abuse the internet for self promotion with no value. I’m sure you can spam your link all over, but you are just wasting peoples time who are trying to get an answer to a question not a spam from your website.

Could you please explain a little about this creativity also? :(

This is a good idea, but I am pretty sure wikipedia has nofollow attribute on it’s links. Am I wrong?

I have managed to get some links on Wikipedia (and managed to keep most of them :-) ).
As said, they are no good to passing PR juice but you do get a lot of traffic from them. Think of how many times you search for something in Google and a Wikipedia page crops up near the top of the SERPS? They go to the page, then often click on the link to your site.

Yeh, this tactic has NOT worked for me… Please elaborate on the exact way to go about creating and sustaining a meaningful link from Wikipedia… In my experience, it isn’t doable.
